Abstract: The study sought to establish the moderating effect of factory size on the relationship between strategy implementation drivers and organizational performance and was guided by Resource-Based View theory and based on a combination of descriptive survey, correlation and explanatory research designs. The target population of this study was 846 employees of five tea processing factories in Kisii County. Both stratified sampling and simple random sampling were used to obtain a sample of 271 employees based on Yamane’s formula. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used in data analysis. Correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis were used to infer the relationship between the study variables. The findings of the study revealed that before moderation the four strategy implementation drivers considered had a positive effect on the performance of tea processing factories and explained 56.1% of the variation in the performance of tea processing factories. The study further established a positive and significant moderating effect of factory size on the relationship between the strategy implementation drivers and performance of tea processing factories. |
