Abstract: Executive Summary Due to ongoing political instability, climate variability, and limited infrastructure, South Sudan faces significant agricultural challenges. The underdevelopment of its agricultural sector contributes to high food insecurity and poverty levels. This research article explores how the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) can inform farm policy and practices in South Sudan. This study identifies critical behavioral drivers that promote sustainable farming practices by examining how farmers' attitudes, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control influence agricultural decisions. Applying TPB as a theoretical framework in designing interventions offers valuable insights for enhancing food security, reducing poverty, and building resilience in South Sudan's agricultural sector.
